Filling\nin theoretical knowledge gaps and clearing misconceptions formed\nfrom previous flight experience. Reconciling theoretical knowledge\nwith flight reality using actual examples.\n    <\/div>\n\n <div class=\"appi-highlight\">\n      <strong>Objective 2:<\/strong>\n     Learning how to prevent emergency situations and\nincidents, understanding how to recognize the signs of impending\nemergencies based on the feeling, visual cues, and reactions coming\nfrom the wing, during the flight.\n    <\/div>\n\n <div class=\"appi-highlight\">\n      <strong>Objective 3:<\/strong>\n     Overcoming and learning how to manage and deal with an\nemergency situation, in case it has not been prevented successfully\nand is happening.\n    <\/div>\n\n    <p>\n      After the SIV training (including theoretical knowledge) the pilot becomes\nmore efficient in flight and has improved their piloting skills in all kinds of\ndisciplines (thermaling, soaring, accuracy, cross country, acro etc.)\n    <\/p>\n\n    <p><strong>The training includes four levels:<\/strong><\/p>\n    <ul>\n      <li>Elementary SIV<\/li>\n      <li>Basic SIV<\/li>\n      <li>Advanced SIV<\/li>\n      <li>Mastery SIV<\/li>\n    <\/ul>\n\n    <p>\n      The course will be organized in such a way as to include all the different\npilot levels (from P2 to P5). This way, each pilot gets the training they\nneed, depending on their specific level.\n    <\/p>\n  <\/div>\n\n  <div class=\"appi-section\">\n    <h3>Programme<\/h3>\n\n    <h4>1. Theory<\/h4>\n    <ul>\n      <li>What is an unstable profile, how can the pilot build an unstable\nprofile (20% -brake position)<\/li>\n      <li>How is the input\/action with commands affecting the glider\ntrajectory<\/li>\n      <li>Introducing and performing, as an exercise, (if this is missing as a\nskill or if this is needed) different type of turns\n        <ul>\n          <li>normal turn (weight shift + commands): benefits<\/li>\n          <li>flat turn (turn using the commands): benefits + what may be\ndangerous!<\/li>\n          <li>low speed turn (low speed entry +low speed exit): benefits<\/li>\n          <li>sliding (opposite weight shift): benefits + what may be\ndangerous!<\/li>\n        <\/ul>\n<\/li>\n      <li>Pitch theory<\/li>\n      <li>Asymmetric collapse theory<\/li>\n      <li>Spiral dive theory<\/li>\n      <li>Back fly theory<\/li>\n    <\/ul>\n\n    <h4>2. Gear Check<\/h4>\n    <p>\n      Making sure the equipment is in good conditions and appropriate for\nSIV, checking rescue mounting, rescue setup, checking the position\nof the pilot in the harness while he is hanged in the simulation, etc.\n    <\/p>\n\n    <h4>3.
