APPI Pro Tandem Course – Kosovo 2026 (March–April)

Description

This activity is organised by Aeroclub Albania with support from Federata Aeronautike e Kosoves. It is tailored for local pilots (fulfilling the requirements as per the APPI system), but all international pilots (fulfilling the course requirements) are welcome as well.

There are two main goals:

  • To present the latest knowledge elaborated by the cosmopolitan pool of APPI master instructors.
  • To deliver the APPI certification corresponding to the pilot’s level, according to APPI standards.

Since the time is limited and the topics are extensive, the course will be intense and demanding. Participants are encouraged to be well-rested and prepared by reviewing basic paragliding theory beforehand.

  • Aerodynamics & Flight Mechanics
  • Meteorology & Aerology
  • Flying Rules

Programme

1. Theory

The first 4 days are suitable for every pilot level and cover:

  • Aerodynamics, Flight Mechanics
  • Meteorology, Aerology
  • Flying Rules

The 5th day is dedicated to pilots aiming for the APPI Pro Tandem rating.

2. Simulation

Indoor take-off procedure training and in-flight harness simulator exercises.

3. Practice

Ground handling and real flights with another pilot as a passenger. Duration: 5 days (2 + 3).

4. Exam

Two days dedicated to evaluation:

  • Theoretical exam (online + written + verbal)
  • Practical exam and validation
