About us
Aeroclub Albania paragliding school was founded by Roland Dorozhani in 2009 as a first paragliding school in Albania. In pursuit of reaching international levels of teaching standards, in 2012 we became a member of APPI – Association of Paragliding Pilots and Instructors based in Switzerland and now operating in 51 countries worldwide. We are small yet
very ambitious school focused on individual approach to our students. We will guide you all the way through your paragliding adventure. We offer courses for beginners and low airtime pilots as well as SIV and Intro to Acro Course.
We also organize Paragliding Trips (link) in Albania for pilots of all levels.
Our Instructor
Roland Dorozhani
Roland was born in Albania in 1972. He graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from Technical University of Tirana. After his graduation, he undertook a training in building, maintaining and flying ultralight aitcrafts in Torino, Italy (ICP).
He started his adventure with paragliding by flying on his own in April 2001 and continued it in his home country until 2005, when he met Mendo Veljanovski who became his instructor. From that moment he have experienced a big progress, aiming at the highest level of this sport. Soon after he started to flying Acro.
My first APPI instructor pro-workshop, as a student, took place in 2014 in Montenegro.
After this, in 2015 to update my knowledge I attended two more APPI pro-workshops, one in Greece, and one Bulgaria. Following, this time as a teacher, I took part in several APPI proworkshops and pro-courses in Kosovo, North Macedonia, Greece and India.
During my flying career, I have continuously tried to make paragliding more popular in my home country and raise the level of education, professionalism and safety among pilots. In 2009 I founded Aeroclub Albania – first Albanian paragliding school and club. Since 2012 we became member of APPI.
In 2008 I took part in World Acro Cup – Acro Attack in Oludeniz, Turkey. From 2019 I have been trained and certified as an official FAI Acro Judge.
